Reflect and Release 2020

We are nearing the end of the decade 2020. There has been a lot of things that have happened in just the last year alone. We started the year with the loss of an iconic basketball genius Kobe Bryant. Then we added to our loss other legendary superheroes Chadwick Boseman who played the lead in Black Panther, and the iconic Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg or Notorious RBG. We also were affected by the worse plague in history, Covid 19. The presidential election of 2020 also will make history with over 140 million people voting. That is the shortlist. There are so many other things that looking back on has made us look at ourselves and society as a whole. We have the strength and tenacity to keep ourselves and our fellow Americans safe just by wearing a mask, such a simple yet powerful gesture.

In our own personal life, we have seen and done things that helped us to create peace or discomfort. Eating that extra piece of pizza may have been therapeutic at the time and now we may hold regret and an extra 10 pounds. Also, starting this blog was no easy feat. We wanted to give back and inform others of what was happening in the medical world. This sometimes was often a challenge in just making sure we stayed engaged. Also, the monthly events that were shared were exciting and fun to host with excellent panelists.

Although we had challenges in our lives, nation. and the world, we persevered. But ultimately we have survived and are stronger as a people and a nation. No one wants their liberties taken away, but we gave them up for our safety and the safety of our fellow humans and country. We can rebuild houses and land, but we can not rebuild people. We mourn those we've lost this year. So, as we release this year and the past decade let's look forward to a healthier body, nation, and world.
